First of all, Happy New Years to all my readers! I hope your 2017 is better than your 2016. I hope this year brings you lots of happiness, love, success and ofcourse TRAVEL and money! I hope you are blessed with the best.
To start off with this year, I’d like to dedicate a quote to every one of you in which I deeply believe in and I hope you’ll have the courage to follow your heart.
“Know who you are, and be it. Know what you want, and go out and get it!” – Carroll Bryant
The year 2016 has been a roller coaster ride. For the world it might be one sad year, but for me it has been an year of growth. The first and foremost change was the graduation and the start of the career as an architect. The second was the start of this blog as my voice; the third and most important change was the realization of self. There has been a drastic change in life. The last 365 days might feel like that they vanished in a blink of an eye, but there is so much that has happened, and I actually feel like a completely different person.
“Yes. I decided a man can truly change. The events of the past year have taught me much more about myself, and a few universal truths.” – Nicholas Sparks
ALSO! I turned 25! For people born in January especially the ones in early January, the change of year is actually more accurate because our age number changes with the change of the numbers of the New Year. I am officially a silver-jubilee adult (although my mother and father think otherwise).
At this point of time I feel so blessed, and this post is for all those people who are in my life by either sticking to me this year including my family, cousins, best friends, close friends, friends, InstaGang; or by entering and being an important part such as my new friends, Project Management group (etc); and also for those people who I interact online such as my readers, my debaters, well-wishers, my boys and girls from Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat to FB groups like the Sage Street, The Democracy and The Progressivists Café, I love you all. Thank you all for being in my life, and most importantly thank you for helping me in the growth and trust my growth.
My birthday was a great day, because honestly I did not expect that I would be celebrating it, but thanks to my beautiful people, they sure did make me feel very special. I dressed up as usual for work. One friend of mine took me to a lunch at Roasters, and treated me with my first cake as well. The second took me out for a CC (coffee and chat) at Cafe Chatterbox. When I came home, my family were all set for a little party and my cousins were all on the way. I had a beautiful little cake-cutting/eating ceremony, and then we all went shopping at Dolmen Mall.
My post birthday happiness is over the top. I felt so loved, I was with the people who matter the most especially with the ones I matter to. Even virtually, my people made sure they were with me in spirit. The birthday songs, poems, recordings, messages, calls and pictures, all brought tears in my eyes. The gestures were lovely. Although I will be honest I didn’t wish a lot of people this year, just to know if it mattered. It actually does matter. You need to tell people they are special, that they are loved. Because being loved is the most important thing in life and that gets you going. Even when hardships prevail your life, the people make it worth living.
“Seize the moments of happiness, love and be loved! That is the only reality in the world, all else is folly. It is the one thing we are interested in here.”
― Leo Tolstoy
Just know that I love you all. <3
P.s: My birthday was on the 3rd of January, thanks to PTCL i couldn’t update the blog. I would actually change my internet provider now.
